How do I add the desktop widget?
Control-click the desktop, choose Edit Widgets, search for Scripture Companion, then choose a size.
Why has my widget not refreshed?
macOS controls WidgetKit refresh timing. Open Scripture Companion once, or remove and add the widget again if the displayed passage remains out of date.
Where are my history and favorites stored?
They are stored only on your Mac. Reading history is retained for 30 days. Favorites remain until you remove them.
Which translations are included?
The English experience includes BSB as the primary translation and WEBP for comparison.
When does widget content update?
Scripture Companion prepares content using the update interval selected in Settings. The exact time it appears in a widget is controlled by macOS.

Scripture Companion requires no account and includes no analytics, advertising, or cloud synchronization.
