How do I add the desktop widget?

Control-click the desktop, choose Edit Widgets, search for Scripture Companion, and choose a widget size. You can place it anywhere in your widget gallery.

Why has my widget not refreshed?

macOS controls the exact timing of widget refreshes. Open Scripture Companion once, or remove and add the widget again if the passage remains old.

Where is my history stored?

Your history and Favorites are stored locally on this Mac. History is kept for 30 days; Favorites remain until you remove them.

How do reminders work?

Reminders are optional and local to your Mac. Scripture Companion requests notification permission only after you turn reminders on in Settings.

Which Bible translations are included?

The available translations are shown in the app’s Settings. Translation availability may vary by release and language.
